A Review of Red Rising

 A Review

of

Red Rising

By Pierce Brown

This story was challenging and interesting. I don't believe its a good idea for any author, including the one of this book, to write in the present tense. It made the story hard to read. I found myself reading certain words again but in the past tense. The use of present tense for me distracted from the story.

Now! On to what I did like about this book. I like the way Red Rising's society is set up. The use of colors and wealth creates a great atmosphere for class warfare. I felt for the protagonist. I cheered for the protagonist.

Ultimately, I could not follow this story to the end.

A Review of Injustice: Gods Among Us, Year One

 A Review of

Injustice

Gods Among Us

Year One

Injustice: Gods Among Us, Year One, written by Tom Taylor. Its by far one of the best comic book events ever. I'd almost put it up there with Kingdom Come. The story is dark and funny. You feel for the characters. You see what happens when someone experiences loss and takes their pain too far. I recommend this story to all comic book fans. The volume I bought is the complete collection and feels like the first season to an epic television show.

I think you need to read this story before playing the video game. You'll get a better deal. Injustice came out in 2016, and to me, is one of the few stories I've enjoyed in the past few years.

I can't find much wrong with this story. The art isn't my favorite, but the story made it all worthwhile.
