Revision Tips and Tricks to Make Your Manuscript Shine

On January 26, 2023, I took part in a free zoom class to improve my revision skills. The class proves that every scene must drive the plot forward. It says every scene must have a goal. I agree. Sometimes its good to have fun with your story, but in the end it all must count.

The biggest focus from the presentation was getting the reader to care about the characters. World building and exposition are more of a side quest. There is also a front story and back story. A front story is the readers and writers prime focus. A back story helps the reader learn how the characters got to where they are. These lessons I found are key in revisions.
