Hellboy
Omnibus Volumes 1 and 2
Volume one is called Seed of Destruction, written by Mike Mignola and published by Dark Horse. It gave us an introduction to Hellboy and his world. The art is dark and unique, done by John Byrne. The first volume is like the movie starring Ron Perlman, but much better. I enjoy how the story's world dives deep into history. My only issue is Hellboy's villains, specifically Rasputin need to be harder to defeat.
Volume two is called Strange Places, written by Mike Mignola and published by Dark Horse. This volume was slower in pace and had large amounts of exposition. The art was great, specifically toward the end. There were more enemies to fight in this volume. I prefer the previous omnibus to this one. The first omnibus had better stories and felt more focus.
The most popular villains in the Hellboy universe are Nazis. I love when a hero beats up Nazis.
